C&D Emerging Energy and RCT Power Commission Integrated Energy Storage and EV Charging Project in Vietnam

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam — C&D Emerging Energy and RCT Power have successfully commissioned an integrated energy storage and EV charging project in Ho Chi Minh City, marking an important step in the development of flexible EV charging infrastructure in Vietnam.

The project combines commercial and industrial energy storage with high-power DC charging facilities, supporting local EV charging demand while demonstrating the potential of integrated energy storage and charging solutions in the Vietnamese market.

Supporting the Growing Demand for EV Charging

The project primarily serves VinFast EV charging demand and is connected to the public grid operated by Vietnam Electricity (EVN), without a PV system.

It is equipped with a 261 kWh C&I energy storage system, together with 120 kW and 60 kW dual-gun DC chargers, enabling multiple EVs to be charged simultaneously.

By coordinating energy storage with charging infrastructure, the project can support peak-valley energy management in a grid-connected scenario and can be flexibly expanded as charging demand develops.

Its modular design also makes the solution adaptable to a range of applications, including commercial facilities, industrial parks and public parking areas.

C&D Emerging Energy Supports End-to-End Project Delivery

For this project, C&D Emerging Energy participated in equipment supply, installation and commissioning, working closely with the RCT Power team throughout project implementation.

The two teams jointly completed site survey, power distribution upgrades, EV charger installation, energy storage integration, operation and maintenance, and after-sales service, supporting the project from on-site implementation through operation.

This collaboration demonstrates C&D Emerging Energy’s ability to support overseas new energy projects through integrated equipment and project services.

The project also reflects C&D Emerging Energy’s continued development of localized capabilities in the Vietnamese market.
